Sunday 29th November 2020 – Advent Sunday

It is the advent carol service this week

These links take you to the order of service and pew sheet

Looking ahead to the Christmas Carol Service by Zoom. Please send an email to  stmartins.northnibley@gmail.com to book your place and request the relevant codes.
We expect to be able to provide a dial in facility so that you can listen via your telephone. We also plan to record the service so please do not enable your video if you do not wish to be seen.

We are also raising money for the church via the sale of a knitting set of nativity figures (silent auction) and the sale of some prints by John May. The figures are in the window of the hub and the prints are available for sale from there.

Sunday 20th November 2020

Rev Peter Marsh is back from his ‘holiday’ and gives us his ‘ramblings’ this week.

As always, this is the link to the pew sheet. Apologies that last week’s sheet was not available in time. It is there now!

Looking ahead to the Christmas Carol Service. David Moss will be leading this as a Zoom service, assisted by the Oriana singers. It will be at 4.30 pm on Sunday 20th December. The zoom licence allows for a limited number of ‘attendees’. Please send an email to stmartins.northnibley@gmail.com to book a place and request the log-in codes.

An introductory note from our new vicar

A short introduction from Rev’d Rachel Cook   (click on the link to see the version with her photo)

Hello Everyone
I’m Cookie (Aka Revd Rachel Cook) and hubby and I (Aka Matt) are very excited to be joining you all
in the new year when I am licensed as Vicar of the Tyndale Benefice.
Where to start to let you know a bit about us?
Well, I have been an RAF Chaplain for a few years and whilst I will remain Reservist, Matt and I felt
that God was asking us to take a leap of faith and apply for this Parish Priest post. The rest is history
and now, as we wait for me to finish full time military service and for the wonderful new Vicarage to
be finished, it is good to reflect on all the great things which I am sure we will experience with you
when we join the community with our family and myriad of animals. Matt will also be working from
home, so a first for him too.
You are all in our thoughts and prayers. We have been to Wotton and the surrounding villages a few
times and have experienced the local hospitality and friendliness of all the local people.
We are hoping you will be able to join us for my licensing when it happens, but obviously we are all
under COVID regulations for the time being.
Either way, January cannot come soon enough for us and we will be delighted when we can meet
you all in (socially-distanced) person.
Blessings.
Cookie.
