Crib Display and St Nicholas event

A display of cribs lent by numerous villagers was expertly laid out within the church and a large number of people visited to enjoy them. Refreshments included gluhwein, pfefferkucken, stollen and other traditional delicacies used in countries where the feast of St Nicholas is more celebrated.

Angels made by  local children were suspended above the cribs. The church looked magnificent.

‘St Nicholas’ opened the proceedings by distributing gold ‘money’ to the children.

2018 Harvest Supper raised nearly £1,300

The annual Harvest Supper, held in the village hall, raised the magnificent total for Christian Aid of £1,297.50. (This has been increased five fold via an EU fund that matches £5 to each£1 we raised!). Included in the final sum was £452.50 raised from the produce auction. In addition, a vast amount of tinned and packet food was sent to the Food Bank in Stroud. We had thanks for 133.4kg of it! Thank you to everyone who contributed in whatever way to a very successful Harvest collection. We couldn't have achieved this without the brilliant collaborative effort between Nibley's School, Church and Chapel, and community at large not to mention assorted cooks and all who came along on the night.
