Your Church Wedding

A Church of England wedding is a truly special way to celebrate your love — surrounded by family, friends, and the presence of God. Whether or not you’re baptised or a regular churchgoer, you’re warmly welcome to marry in church.

During the service, you’ll make heartfelt vows to love and care for each other throughout your lives, and the priest will ask for God’s blessing on your marriage. Together we’ll help you plan a ceremony that feels personal and meaningful, with your choice of hymns, readings, and special touches.

There’s plenty of room for fun and tradition too — from rose petals or soluble confetti in the churchyard, to the local children’s “gate tying” custom that brings smiles all round! Our flower arrangers and musicians can help make your day truly memorable, and you’re very welcome to arrange your own photographer to capture the occasion.
